Birch & Bean began with a simple dream: to create a warm, welcoming place where friends gather, families make memories, and everyone feels at home.
Our name comes straight from our family. Birch comes from Ashley's maiden name, Birchmeier, while Bean comes from our son Sawyer, whose nickname has long been “Bean.” Together, the name represents the family at the heart of everything we do.
As a locally owned family business, we believe the best coffee shops become part of their community. Whether you're stopping in for your morning coffee, catching up with a friend, grabbing breakfast before work, or bringing your kids in for a weekend treat, we hope Birch & Bean is a place you'll look forward to visiting again and again.

Hidden inside our birch-tree logo is a small heart carved into the trunk with the initials A + A + S + M — Alex, Ashley, Sawyer, and Mackenzie. It's a reminder that Birch & Bean was built around family, and we hope every guest who walks through our doors feels like part of ours.
